Where are you from?
Soblahov.

Where did you study?
At the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava and I was a student intern at the University of Ljubljana.

Who was your best teacher?
Patrik Ševčík from high school and in sports Braňo Poliach.

Who were/ are your parents?
My mother was an economist – pricing, all her life in the Aircraft Repair Plant in Trenčín. My dad is a CNC horizon maker, also in a German company in Trenčín. They are working class heroes!

What don’t you enjoy in design?
Exporting all the necessary formats over and over again because of a soft or wrong date, and the constant struggle and proving the importance and relevance of my work.

And on the contrary, what do you?
When I think of something and it all comes together into one universe. That’s a very nice feeling.

What do you listen to?
Weekly update, the Atíke packy playlist, NTS radio, and after the last techno at Cvernova, HÖR BERLIN.

Your favourite film, cartoon, series?
Movie 3-Iron, cartoon Shark Tale and series We are who we are.

Who do you respect as an authority in and out of your field?
In the industry, Ľubica Segečová because she is constantly updating herself and I find it incredible how much quality work she can produce. Outside the field I recognize Zlatka Borůvková. She is just a great friend.

What thing did you last buy?
Sneakers for sports.

Do you buy professional literature? What was the latest book?
Yeah, occasionally. Most recently Caps Lock by Ruben Pater. I prefer fiction, and I buy books that are interesting in some way – the workmanship, the material, the binding, the format, the smell.

Do you vote?
Yes.

Who throws the best parties?
Miška after closing at Coffee Sheep 😉

Your favourite dome?
I don’t have one.

Party dress. Made by…?
Mostly from Kika. Every once in a while, she brings me bags full of clothes she no longer wears, which then make up 90% of my wardrobe.

Your hero from the past?
My therapist.

Best/nicest house?
Machnáč in Trenčianske Teplice, which made me understand a little bit what architecture is all about.

Do you have any stereotypes when you work? How do they show?
Subconscious tension. I bite my nails without knowing it.

What’s on your desktop?
Default colored Apple background.

Best exhibition, work of art?
I was pretty amazed by the Fondazione Prada in Milan.

What do you respect both from the local and foreign design scene? And why?
I respect anything that is curious, sensitive and a bit cheeky.

Ethics or money?
Ideally both.

Extraordinary book?
A Little Life.

Optimist, pessimist, nihilist?
A realist with the last breath of an idealist.

Do you have any hobby?
Boxing, hiking, cross-country skiing, sports in general, art, travel, animals, nature, books, music, body and dance, analogue photography, looking at things.

Solo or in a collective?
Collective, individually I don’t exist.

Slovakia as the Promised Land?
To whom?
