Italian designers and manufacturers are among the world’s best. Several of them gathered at BADW.

He studied industrial design at La Sapienza University in Rome. He has long been involved in product design for the prestigious ELICA brand. He has won numerous awards, including the IDA Design Awards and the Archiproduct Design Awards 2019. His Nicola Tesla One cooktop won this year’s most prestigious Italian award, the Compasso d’Oro ADI.

Studio Zaven / Venice (IT)
Studio ZAVEN (IT) založili v roku 2006 Enrica Cavarzan a Marco Zavagno. Ich práca je nastavená multidisciplinárne. Sústredia sa na výskum interakcií medzi komunikáciou, dizajnom a umením. Zaven sídli v Benátkach, ale pôsobí medzinárodne. Radi pracujú na prepájaní rôznych odborov. Sú flexibilní, navrhujú inštalácie, produkty, grafický dizajn, sústredia sa na výskum aj koncept. Pravidelne učia a robia workshopy. Ich práce získali mnoho ocenení. Len v posledných dvoch rokoch to boli napríklad Red Dot Design Award 2019, IF Design Award 2019, Wallpaper Design Award 2019, Good Design Award 2018, Archiproduct Design Award 2018, ICFF New York x Design Award 2018, Wallpaper Design Award 2018.
Studio ZAVEN (IT) was founded in 2006 by Enrica Cavarzan and Marco Zavagno. Their work takes a multidisciplinary approach. They focus on researching the interactions between communication, design, and art. Zaven is based in Venice but operates internationally. They enjoy working on connecting different disciplines. They are flexible, designing installations, products, and graphic design, and focusing on both research and concept. They regularly teach and lead workshops. Their work has won numerous awards. In the last two years alone, these include the Red Dot Design Award 2019, IF Design Award 2019, Wallpaper Design Award 2019, Good Design Award 2018, Archiproduct Design Award 2018, ICFF New York x Design Award 2018, and Wallpaper Design Award 2018.

A film about 19 key figures of the so-called Italian Radical Design movement. Through their words and stories, you’ll be transported to a time when anything was possible. You’ll see legends such as Emilio Ambasz, Franco Audrito, Dario Bartolini, Lapo Binazzi, Andrea Branzi, Germano Celant, Gilberto Coretti, Pietro Derossi, Piero Gilardi, Ugo La Pietra, Roberta Meloni, Alessandro Mendini, Adolfo Natalini, Gaetano Pesce, Gianni Pettena, Franco Raggi, Charlie Stendig, Cristiano Toraldo di Francia, and Jim Walrod.
