New Work / SAMY RIO, DOTA LAMP

French Samy Rio is one of the designers who fully understood the importance of bamboo (availability, sustainability, durability, but also shape expressiveness). His approach takes into account all these virtues and, in addition, adds his very fine handwriting. He has already tried a lot with bamboo, for example he has designed a functional hairdryer. He has recently introduced a table lamp. Again, it is a product that is distinctive for its simple shape, which is based on the natural shape of bamboo. He complemented this with exclusive marble and wrapped it with nylon fibre, which holds it together. To make the object as precise as possible he used a CNC milling machine.
